Standard Load-Bearing TEZ-Type Drag Chain

The TEZ series heavy-duty drag chains are manufactured by injection molding using glass-fiber-reinforced nylon as the raw material, offering excellent load-bearing capacity, wear resistance, and an exceptionally long service life. The crossbars of the nylon drag chain can be opened on both the inner and outer sides and are equipped with double-sided comb plates or metal connectors to accommodate longer unsupported spans.

Product Introduction

Load-bearing energy chains are injection-molded from glass-fiber-reinforced nylon, offering excellent load-carrying capacity, wear resistance, and an exceptionally long service life. Resembling a tank track, they consist of numerous modular links that rotate smoothly relative to one another. When selecting an energy chain within the same series, the internal height, external height, and pitch remain consistent, while the internal height and bending radius R can be customized. Each modular link comprises left and right side plates as well as upper and lower cover plates. The nylon plastic energy chain can be opened section by section, making installation and removal quick and convenient—there’s no need to thread cables through the chain; simply open the cover plate to insert cables, hydraulic hoses, pneumatic lines, and other components directly into the chain. Depending on the specific application, partition inserts can be supplied to divide the internal space of the chain as required.

Product Features

01

The crossbar can be opened from both the inside and the outside.

02

Equipped with bilateral dressing plates or iron connectors

03

Friction-resistant, corrosion-resistant, for gliding applications

04

For longer overhead spans

05

Product Advantages

Load-bearing engineering-plastic cable carriers are made from higher-quality materials and feature greater wall thickness than standard plastic cable carriers. They are ideal for machine tools with numerous cables or applications where heavy loads need to be supported by the carrier, offering superior service life. The elegant design of the central yellow axle enhances the carrier’s aesthetic appeal, adding both functional value and visual sophistication to the machine tool.

Applicable Scenarios

Places with stringent noise requirements

Higher speed or acceleration

Significant wear or corrosion and load-bearing requirements

Inappropriate for the occasion

Extremely cold region

Temperature above 130°C

How to Identify the Quality of Plastic Drag Chains

Good drag chain

Poor cable carrier

A quick look

View the overall effect of the drag chain.
The cable carrier boasts a refined appearance and meticulous workmanship, with high-quality materials, a smooth and even surface finish, and an overall excellent aesthetic. It also exhibits minimal deformation.

View the overall effect of the drag chain.
Poor-quality drag chains have a rough, poorly finished appearance, uneven coloration, and an unappealing visual effect, with significant deformation.

Second touch

Touch the surface, edges, and inner walls of the drag chain with your hand.
The drag chain has a smooth surface with no prickly feel; it rotates flexibly and conveniently with minimal friction.

Touch the surface, edges, and inner walls of the drag chain with your hand.
A poor-quality drag chain has a rough, uneven surface that feels prickly to the touch; it also feels cumbersome and generates significant friction when rotating.

Three Smells

Smell the odor; listen for the sound produced when tapping the drag chain in areas with higher hardness.
A properly hammered drag chain produces a relatively deep, muffled sound and feels solid and heavy; it also has no noticeable odor.

Smell the odor; listen for the sound produced when tapping the drag chain in areas with higher hardness.
When you tap a substandard drag chain, the sound is crisp and clear, with a hollow, lightweight feel; the odor is strong and pungent.

Four rubs

Use external force to vigorously rub the surface of the plastic cable carrier.
It is relatively labor-intensive to roll up the drag chain, and the resulting debris is fine and powdery. Cut open the product to examine the cross-section of the drag chain.

Use external force to vigorously rub the surface of the plastic cable carrier.
Poor-quality drag chains tend to develop pitting, with debris appearing in granular form; cut open the product to examine the drag chain’s cross-section.

Five cuts

Cut open the product to examine the cross-section of the energy chain.
A well-made drag chain exhibits a neat, uniform cross-section with no obvious delamination.

Cut open the product to examine the cross-section of the energy chain.
A poorly manufactured drag chain will exhibit distinct layers and clearly visible striations in its cross-sectional cut.

Six Considerations

Evaluate the product's cost-effectiveness.
High-quality drag chains are relatively expensive, have a long service life, can handle heavy loads, and offer excellent wear resistance.

Evaluate the product's cost-effectiveness.
Poor-quality drag chains are inexpensive, have a shorter service life, can handle only light loads, exhibit poor wear resistance, and require more frequent replacement.
